Gringo Records - independent label spotlight

Here's one of the songs that has been on heavy rotation on our office stereo of late. The Wharves are the latest signing to UK indie label Gringo Records who we realised this morning have their 18th birthday coming up soon. Time to buy all at Gringo a drink then! After years of releasing fantastic alt rock and indie, and getting played and praised by the likes of John Peel and Foals they deserve it. From their early days releasing 7 inches by local bands in Colchester to the huge success of Hookworms more recently they have consistently championed great music. For a DIY label to stay afloat and stay focussed and true to their vision for so long is little short of a miracle.
